CV
Born in Shanghai, Lin earned her BFA in Visual Communication before moving to New York to study Digital Arts at Pratt Institute. Her recent work centers on women’s experiences and the complexities of voice, agency, and ambiguity. Her thesis project, titled 1 in 4, examines the blurred realities of sexual harassment under power structures. Using a telephone booth as a symbolic intimate space and an artificial intelligence system that simulates a survivor’s voice, the installation invites viewers into a mediated conversation with the survivor. The work was exhibited at One Art Space.
In her installation Blue Tears at BioBAT Art Space, Lin constructed a multi-layered environment inspired by the bioluminescent algae found along the East Asian coastline. Through acrylic sculpture, translucent fabric, projection, and glow-in-the-dark mapping, she intertwines scientific observation with mythological storytelling, evoking the ecological and cultural presence of the phenomenon.
Lin collaborates widely as an interactive artist and creative technologist. In her recent project with Delirious Dances at the New House Center for Contemporary Art, she created an interactive tunnel where light and sound shift with the movement of visitors, guiding them through a narrative of ocean, plastic, and renewal. In 2025, through QIAA, she is co-organizing a collaborative exhibition with Pratt faculty, serving as both curator and mentor.
